Caochangdi's village leader, Zhang GenQi, visited BASE to give insight on his ongoing plans for the village.
The village leader has enacted many efforts to define the character of Caochangdi, which he believes will save the village from "urbanization."

On June 1st, professor Zhao and Professor Xhang of BJUT, the Beijing University of Technology, visited BASE to give a talk titled "Urbanization of Rural Villages.

The enlightening talk was followed by a discussion including a Q&A session between the BASE team and the BJUT professors.
